What is the format of your presentation?
Our format loosely resembles “The View”, only with Christian sisters. As we begin, we spend a few moments around a table, just as if we are having coffee. We share stories with each other and the ladies that have joined us for the day. Shortly, one of us will get up to talk, telling her individual God story how it relates to your retreat’s topic. We alternate “table time” and individual speakers throughout the event. As time allows, we have also fielded questions (previously written) from the audience, such as how we find the time to get together, clarification on a story that may have been shared in the course of our speaking, or even what our individual quiet time looks like. All of this is planned in close coordination with the local event coordinator.

What do you need when you speak?
We need a table and 5 chairs for our “table time” talking, as well as a stool and podium (or even a music stand) for the individual speaker.We also need 5 microphones for the table. Body mics are preferred, but any microphone will work. Much of our unique presentation relies on our banter and dialog at the table, and it’s important that we each be heard. The individual speaker may use one of the table mics, if necessary. |
